Spaß am Set mit “Jane the Virgin”- Star Andrea Navedo

For years I have been teaching internationally at the LEICA Academy between Sydney and L.A., giving master classes all over Europe, as well as my own workshops, which you can find on my official website. Photography is one of the most beautiful hobbies and only a few have the privilege to practice it as a profession. That's why I always say, never lose the fun and joy of photography, forget all the rules and go out, take your camera and show the world your view of things.

Mein Frau Nelly und ich lieben die Serie “Jane the Virgin“. Umso mehr haben wir uns gefreut, eine der Hauptdarstellerinnen – nämlich die Mutter von Jane, Xiomara Villanueva alias Andrea Navedo – in Studio City fotografieren zu dürfen! Es war von Anfang an klar, dass wir auf der gleichen Welle waren, und wir hatten auch jede Menge Spaß an unserer Arbeit. Vor lauter Plaudern vergaßen wir fast die Zeit und dass wir eigentlich zum fotografieren da waren.

But I always mention this in my lectures: take more time to get to know the person you want to photograph. Listen, a rare commodity in today's world, but this is the only way to gain confidence and discover interesting sides of a person, which can then be captured photographically.

Living photography creates something new and is already positive in its beginnings, it shows the innermost part of the human being. To make the soul of the human being visible when taking a picture is the highest art of photography. Those who ignore the design and all the technical rules of photography as beginners will probably not learn anything, but those who remember it for a lifetime and then never break the rules will probably have little imagination.

Wer die Serie “Jane the Virgin” nicht kennt, sollte dies unbedingt nachholen. Andrea haben wir gleich ins Herz geschlossen & am Set wurde professionell und mit einer entspannten Lockerheit fotografiert. Ich habe sowohl mit professionellem Licht von Hensel Light gearbeitet, wie auch mit Tageslicht. Als Kameras wurden meine Leica SL2 sowie meine Leica M Monochrom eingesetzt.

Nächste Woche geht es endlich los, gemeinsam mit unserem Partner “BÜRSTNER” und anderen geht es diesen Sommer mit dem Wohnmobil auf Fotoreise quer durch Europa. Und wie immer zeigen wir Euch die schönsten Landschaftsfotos, wie auch zahlreiche Tipps und Tricks!
